A Borehamwood girl was given the red carpet treatment at an awards ceremony in Hertfordshire this week.
Thirty winners took centre stage at the Hertfordshire Youth Service Awards at County Hall, Hertford, to celebrate the achievements of young people.Sophie Sapsford, 15, from Borehamwood, was rewarded for her involvement in a number of youth activities in Hertsmere including helping to plan a fashion project last summer.County councillor Keith Emsall, executive member for education and culture, presented them with certificates and engraved glass awards.He said: "These awards show that we recognise how much young people are doing and want to highlight these very special achievements."
